Flagship smartphone OnePlus 6T new features, renders and video leaked on the network
It is expected that the OnePlus 6T will be released by the end of the year and is expected to be a small upgrade compared to its predecessor. The famous creator and insider “Science and Knowledge” published the fresh renders and video of upcoming flagship smartphone OnePlus 6T on YouTube.
At the moment, the company is doing a great job at keeping details under wraps for now, so there is no exact information from the official source. However, we have a few features in mind that would make the device a worthy and upgrade to OnePlus 6 without greatly increasing its price – or at all.
Wish List OnePlus 6T: IP Rating
Almost every flagship launched in 2018 has water resistance and dust, except for OnePlus 6. The phone can handle water splashes, so it should not stop working when exposed to rain during use, but it’s not officially IP rated.
I would like to see this change with his successor. It is expected that the OnePlus can take a step forward and add either IP67 or IP68 to 6T, which would be the first for the company. This will make the OnePlus 6T more attractive as it gives users safety when accidentally getting wet.
As an upgrade, an IP67-enabled smartphone cannot withstand up to a meter of water (3.3 feet) for more than 30 minutes, while a phone with an IP68 rating should normally work when submerged to a depth of 1.5 meters (4.9 feet) with water for 30 minutes or less. Both ratings also guarantee that the unit is tightly closed.
Wish List OnePlus 6T: wireless charging
OnePlus 6 does not support wireless charging, even if it has a glass. In an interview with Business Insider, the OnePlus spokesperson said, “We really do not feel the need to add wireless charging, we will not add a feature for it.”
According to the latest insiders, the company will change their mind and they will add wireless charging to OnePlus 6T. Despite the fact that the manufacturer seems to consider it an insignificant feature, many fans of OnePlus want to see it on the upcoming device. Smartphones usually need to be recharged daily, depending on usage, and it is much more convenient to put them on the pad instead of connecting them manually.
Even automakers have started using this feature, and many of them install wireless charging platforms in their vehicles. I also saw these loading platforms in numerous restaurants and cafes across Europe, which shows how popular this feature is.
Wish List OnePlus 6T: bigger battery
The battery life of OnePlus 6 is not bad. We think there is room for improvement.
Pull the battery to 3 500 mAh – that’s right.
The average battery size of the OnePlus 6 is 3,300 mAh. For example, Huawei P20 Pro has about the same pressure, but it manages to mount a massive 4000 mAh battery under the hood. I want to see a big battery in the OnePlus 6T, and the P20 Pro is proof that it’s possible. OnePlus does not have to get it all out and chooses a 4,000 mAh battery, like Huawei’s flagship, but luck with a capacity of at least 3,500 mAh is the way.
This puts the OnePlus 6T on par with devices like the Galaxy S9 Plus and extends the already good battery life of OnePlus 6.
Wish List OnePlus 6T: Headphone Jack
Like most companies, OnePlus likes to follow the latest trends in the market. He broke metal on the glass on OnePlus 6 and also made a choice for the cutout. The next step is to remove the headphone jack, and we hope that does not happen.
The headphone jack is still an integral part of the smartphone for many people – we would not buy it without it. We constantly listen to music and do not want to have Bluetooth headphones because they do not always have the same sound quality as wired ones.
I also do not want to use a Type-C USB headset (or a key) because we can not listen to music and charge my phone at the same time. Many people feel the same, so OnePlus should keep the headphone jack on the upcoming OnePlus 6T.
Wish List OnePlus 6T: same colors for all storage options
OnePlus 6 is available in Mirror Black, Silk White, Red and Midnight Black. The mid-level model has 8 GB of RAM and 128 GB of RAM and can be used in all four colors. The other two storage options are only available in a color version. OnePlus 6 with 6GB of RAM and 64GB of RAM comes in Mirror Black, and the enhanced 8GB / 256GB version can be in Midnight Black.
Colors are important and can play an important role in consumer buying decisions. That’s why we want all OnePlus 6T storage options to be available in any available color. There are many consumers who are satisfied with the model of the OnePlus 6 input but do not like the color in which it is located. You should opt for the middle model to get the right color, which costs another $ 50.
You also have people who want to buy the most expensive OnePlus 6 model with 256GB of storage, but instead, match the mid-range offering because of the color. Offering all models in all colors would make it easier for consumers and even slightly higher OnePlus sales.
These are the first five things I want to see on OnePlus 6T, though some others come to mind. Ditching Gorilla Glass 5 for the recently announced Gorilla Glass 6 will be a great idea as it makes the device more durable. Using Corning’s Vibrant Ink Jet technology is something that must be considered as it allows OnePlus to stand out from the crowd in the design department. I also want to see a fingerprint scanner on the screen as you can see the images and video as well, but only if it works as well as the one on the back of the OnePlus 6.
I do not want to see 3D face recognition, a third camera on the back, or a higher resolution display because these features can increase the price significantly – avoid avoiding OnePlus at all costs. Adding five things I mentioned in OnePlus 6T can only increase the price slightly. It’s also possible that the price will be the same if the cost of components such as a display, chipset, and the camera continues from the moment I open OnePlus 6, which I hope will be.
