Rumors of the Samsung Galaxy S22 Ultra are already circulating and they claim the phone may come with a crazy 200MP camera lens when it arrives next year.
This is according to Weibo posts from leaders Ice Universe and Digital Chat Station (via IT Home ). If true, that means the Samsung Galaxy S22 Ultra can deliver incredibly detailed high-resolution photos as well as take photos in low light.

Samsung has already teased the possibility of a 200-megapixel camera last month. And a blog post from Samsung Semiconductor unveiled a new ISOCELL 2.0 technology that promised larger cameras to capture more detail and color, as well as improved low-light photography.
Likewise, the company openly teased the prospect of a 200MP camera and the fact that the Exynos 2100 chipset already supports camera sensors of this size.
The only question we have is how much we should trust these rumors. After all, there were rumors that the Samsung Galaxy S21 would have an extremely high camera resolution that never happened.
Numbers like 150MP and 180MP were scattered quite a bit, but in the end, the Samsung Galaxy S21 Ultra had the same 108MP lens as the Galaxy S20 Ultra. The Galaxy S21’s highest-resolution standard camera, meanwhile, was a 64MP telephoto lens.
Again, it all depends on Samsung’s priorities. We’ve already seen many other brands push the boundaries of their camera technology when it comes to resolution.
ZTE has almost confirmed the 200MP camera lens will ship with the ZTE Axon 30 Pro smartphone. in the meantime, Xiaomi is also going to release a phone with a 200MP camera, although, reports claim that, it will be a Samsung-made sensor.
We’ll have to wait and see what happens to the Galaxy S22. We know that the phone may come with Olympus brand camera lenses, but other than that, rumors about it are still very early.
After all, the Galaxy S21 lineup has just launched and we still have a long time to wait before we probably start hearing anything concrete. But we expect improved cameras and performance enhancements to be the main update areas for Samsung’s next flagship phone.
