Samsung Galaxy S20 Ultra will get Super ISO and lose Exynos
On February 11th, Samsung at the Galaxy Unpacked special event will unveil a Galaxy Z Flip flip-screen clamshell and the Galaxy S flagship series, which will include the Galaxy S20, Galaxy S20 Plus, and Galaxy S20 Ultra. The latter will receive the best camera system among mobile devices: the main camera at 108 megapixels, 10x optical zoom, and 100x digital zoom. Another feature of the flagship will be an expanded range of photosensitivity.
The function will be called Super ISO, as evidenced by the corresponding trademark obtained by the South Korean company. Last year’s Samsung Galaxy S10, the ISO range is from 50 to 800 units, which was increased to 3200 after upgrading to Android 10. For comparison, in 2018, Sony released the Xperia XZ2 with ISO up to 51,200 for photos and up to 12,800 for videos.
After that, Sony Xperia 1 came out with a maximum ISO range of 128,000. In HUAWEI P30 Pro, the maximum ISO value is 409,600. Nevertheless, the maximum sensitivity value in Super ISO mode will be 6400, the eminent Ice Universe insider said. However, this is still enough to create high-quality exposed images in various shooting conditions.
The same Ice Universe made a sensational statement: all Galaxy S20 smartphones will be built on Qualcomm Snapdragon 865. This also applies to devices for the home market – in past years, models for South Korea worked on Exynos flagship processors.
It is not yet clear whether Qualcomm chipsets will be used in European Galaxy S20 smartphones.
Xiaomi confirmed that Mi A2 Lite will receive the latest version of Android
This week, Xiaomi broke the silence and finally gave the final answer to the question that plagued everyone: will the budget Mi A2 Lite be updated to Android 10. The company confirmed that the smartphone will receive this update and additional security patches. Most likely, Android 10 will be the last major update for devices, but security patches should be released at least until 2021.
Xiaomi Mi A2 Lite is the international version of Redmi 6 Pro. He received a metal case and a 5.84-inch screen with a “monobrow” and a resolution of 2228×1080 pixels. The “heart” of the device is the eight-core Snapdragon 625 processor, operating at a frequency of 2.0 GHz.
Microsoft Surface Book 3 will turn into a gaming laptop
Microsoft Surface tablets and laptops are not officially available, but in the manufacturer’s homeland and in Europe they found their niche and fan base. The company updates the devices from time to time in hardware and this year may introduce the long-awaited Surface Book 3 laptop. Impatience is fueled by a new leak from the 3DMark benchmark database.
A Microsoft laptop with a GeForce GTX 1650 Max-Q graphics card and an Intel Core i7-1065G7 processor was tested in it. Perhaps thanks to this video accelerator Surface Book 3 will be positioned as a gaming mobile solution. Most likely, the junior 13-inch version took part in the test. In this case, the older 15-inch model can get a more advanced graphics card, for example, the GTX 1660 Ti.
The date of the announcement of computers is not disclosed.
