In this issue of Insider: Xiaomi hints at the incredible redesign of a new set-top box; Lenovo does not plan to make Moto Z4 flagship smartphone; Google Pixel 3a and Pixel 3a XL were shown on the 3D render; OnePlus is preparing to announce the premiere date of the new flagship OenPlus 7.

Xiaomi will refuse the control panel in a new set-top box

April 23, Xiaomi will demonstrate the new device and, by all indications, we are waiting for an updated set-top box. Judging by the fresh posters, the company will focus on the design of the gadget.

Teasers hint at the redesign of the case, the minimum thickness of the console, as well as the rejection of the console.

Perhaps the company intends to implement voice control without using a separate device or adapt the user’s smartphone for this purpose.

Lenovo does not plan to make Moto Z4 flagship smartphone

The 91mobiles edition has published the characteristics of the future Moto Z4 smartphone, the leader of the Moto Z line, the announcement of which is scheduled for the first half of the year.

It will receive a 6.4-inch OLED-screen with a small cut in the upper part and a 25-megapixel selfie camera. Instead of two cameras, the Moto Z4 will have a single main 48-megapixel photo module with the function of combining four pixels into one and a night mode.

Inside, an eight-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 675 processor with a frequency of 2.0 GHz, an Adreno 612 graphics chip and a Snapdragon X12 LTE modem will be installed. It also claims a 3600 mAh battery with support for fast charging via the USB Type-C port, a 3.5mm audio jack, a fingerprint scanner built into the display, 6 GB of RAM and 128 GB of internal memory. The Moto Z4 case does not let in water drops but does not have full water protection.

It is curious that Moto Z4 loses to last year’s 5G Moto Z3 smartphone in a number of indicators. The cost of version 2019 is not disclosed.

Google Pixel 3a and Pixel 3a XL shown on 3D-render

Following the front-panel images of budget smartphones Google Pixel 3a and Pixel 3a XL, CAD-renders of the same devices from OnLeaks and 91mobiles surfaced in the network on the top of the this article. Curiously, the video authors named the device Google Pixel 3 Lite and Pixel 3 Lite XL.

Voice-over says Google Pixel 3 Lite’s screen size is 5.5 inches and Pixel 3 Lite XL is 6 inches. Both smartphones are equipped with an audio jack for headphones and a USB Type-C port. Pixel 3 Lite XL dimensions are approximately 160.0 x 76.1 x 8.2 mm, Pixel 3 Lite is 151.3 x 70.1 x 8.2 mm.

OnePlus will soon announce the premiere date of the new flagship OnePlus 7

Pete Lau, the head of OnePlus, hinted on his Twitter page that next Tuesday, April 23, the date of the company’s next event will be revealed. What exactly will be shown on the scene is unknown. The most obvious reason for meeting with journalists is the premiere of the flagship OnePlus 7 and its 5G version of OnePlus 7 Pro.

Earlier, a short video appeared in the network, in which there is a hint of a OnePlus 7 Pro display curved around the edges. According to rumors, this model will be equipped with a 90-hertz AMOLED-panel with a diagonal of 6.64 inches. The smartphone will also receive a triple main camera with a resolution of 48-megapixel main sensor, a wide-angle sensor, and a telephoto lens.
