New smartphone OnePlus 6: when speed – your main trump card
A few hours ago in London, the event dedicated to the announcement of one of the most anticipated new products of the year – the OnePlus 6 smartphone – was completed. The face of the next flagship model was selected this time with the Optic AMOLED display with a diagonal of 6.28 inches and a ratio of 19: 9. The screen resolution, protected from mechanical damage by Gorilla Glass 5 glass, is 2280 × 1080 pixels.
Cutout on the display in the style of the iPhone X is present. Expecting another decision from OnePlus, given the recent statement by co-founder Carl Pei (Carl Pei) about the unconditional advantages of “cutting them” over the others, not to mention traditional displays, would be at least strange.
With the “stuffing” OnePlus 6, which provides the smartphone with the proper level of performance, everything is quite simple. The role of the processor went to the chip Snapdragon 845, and among the available versions are the modifications from 6 GB, as well as 8 GB of RAM LPDDR4X. “Speed you need” – this is the slogan, according to OnePlus, is designed to convey to the buyer a key advantage of the novelty over competitors. The capacity of the UFS 2.1 flash drive installed in OnePlus 6 varies from 64 to 256 GB, depending on the chosen package.
On the back panel of OnePlus 6, a dual camera consisting of 16-megapixel and 20-megapixel modules based on Sony IMX 519 sensors and Sony IMX 376K. There is optical image stabilization. The front camera is a 16-megapixel sensor with f / 2.0 diaphragm and has only electronic image stabilization.

Alas, but in general, OnePlus 6 – it’s just a balanced gadget at an interesting price without claiming leadership in this segment. Nothing special smartphone can boast, if you do not take into account the advanced hardware in the form of a bundle of Snapdragon 845 and 8 GB of RAM. Disappointingly, first of all, the battery capacity of only 3300 mAh, albeit with the ability to quickly charge Dash Charge technology at 5V and 4A.
One more disadvantage of OnePlus 6 is the “Daily Water Resistance” mark indicated in the specification. This means that the device has not passed the certification according to the IPxx standard, and therefore the contact of the gadget with water can result in its failure.
The base version of OnePlus 6 with 6 GB of RAM and a 64 GB drive is estimated at $ 529. For a smartphone in the performance of 8/128 GB and 8/256 GB OnePlus asks for $ 579 and $ 629. In the sale the device in color Midnight Black (matte black) and Mirror Black (glossy black) will be available from May 21, 2018. The version of Silk White (white) will appear on the market on June 5.
