After several months of silence and lack of information, a rumor returned a few days ago about the possible launch of the successor of the beloved Xiaomi PocoPhone F1 with the name Poco F2. Today, however, a rumor has come that actually refutes this assumption and ascribes the device the name “Xiaomi POCO X2”.
As we see in the image above, a smartphone called Xiaomi POCO X2 would just appear on the famous Geekbench platform. The terminal received a score of 547 for single-core mode and 1767 for multi-core mode. So it’s not a very high score, although we must take into account that this is GeekBench in version 5, which generates lower scores than in previous versions.
In any case, the processor onboard the device is certainly not the flagship, as it was with the Pocophone F1. If we look at the data that we actually find the maximum clock frequency of 1.8 GHz, and the amount of RAM is 8 GB, then these two tips make us think that this may be Qualcomm Snapdragon 730G.
- Xiaomi Mi 10 5G the spirit of Mi Mix Alpha new features and release date
- Smartphones Huawei P40 and P40 Pro appeared on renders in different colors
- Smartphone OPPO A15 (2020): received top-end camera and features
- Samsung Galaxy Z Flip (2020): features, price and release date revealed
But why create another smartphone with the Snapdragon 730G, taking into account those that are already on sale? Well, apparently, it may be a device already released in China, let’s talk about the recent Redmi K30.
Thus, the smartphone will be sold in the rest of the world under a different name and which, as we know, is associated with the series (Poco), which provides high performance at lower prices.
In fact, this can be great news for us Italians, without having to pay for Xiaomi (Mi) branding, as happened with the Xiaomi Mi 9T and Mi 9T Pro, even if two devices quickly fell in price, agreeing with these respective series Redmi K20.
In addition, always with the same logic, we can already assume that the Redmi K30 5G with the ability to connect Qualcomm Snapdragon 765G and 5G can be sold outside of China under the name Poco X2 Pro.
Finally, recall that the Redmi K30 is a smartphone with a 6.67-inch screen and a refresh rate of 120 Hz, a 4500 mAh battery and a fast charge of 27 W; while the 5G version accepts a faster recharge of 30 watts.
Now tell us yours. What do you think of the Redmi K30 sold in Italy as the Xiaomi Poco X2? Does it bother you? Please let us know in the comments section below.
