A competitor to MIUI and EMUI is gaining muscle. ColorOS 7 release chart
At the end of last year, OPPO introduced a new ColorOS 7 shell for the Android 10 operating system. Now the manufacturer has unveiled a detailed update schedule for branded gadgets, some of which will receive the latest firmware version in a few days.
Although testing ColorOS 7 on some devices began a few months ago, the initial update plans in China were revised due to the coronavirus epidemic that stopped or slowed down many business processes in the country. Nevertheless, the development of the firmware continued, and soon the update will receive almost two dozen models of smartphone vendor.
The list includes dozens of Oppo, Reno, and Realme models. A couple of months ago, Oppo officially introduced its ColorOS 7 user interface, which early users called EMUI and MIUI shells a worthy competitor.

Now, Oppo has begun distributing the beta version of ColorOS 7 for various smartphone models. The list includes Oppo Reno, Reno Inspiration Edition, Reno 10x Zoom Edition, Reno Barcelona Custom Edition, Reno Ace, Reno Ace Gundam Edition and Reno 2.
In addition, the company has confirmed that the beta version will be available from January 13 for Oppo R17 and R17 New Year Editions, and on January 15 it will be released for Reno R17 Pro, R17 Pro New Year Edition and R17 King Custom Edition.
Oppo Find X, Find X Lamborghini Edition, Find X Super Flash Charge Edition, K5 and Reno Z should start receiving the update in February, while Reno 2Z will receive it in March this year.
It is expected that later the company will publish a plan to release updates to ColorOS 7 for the second quarter of this year, which may include smartphones Oppo R15, R15 Dream Edition, K3, A9, A9x and A11.
Smartphones Realme X and X Youth Edition will receive an update in February this year, Realme Q will be updated in March, and Realme X2 and X2 Pro will receive firmware in April this year.

A key feature of ColorOS 7 was improved performance compared to the previous version. According to the developers, the application launch time decreased by 40%, and due to the optimization of the consumption of system resources, the overall system performance increased by 30%.
