The series, according to the available data, will include three models: the basic version of the P50, the more efficient modification of the P50 Pro, and the most expensive version of the P50 Pro Plus. All of them will receive a display with a hole in the center in the upper area for a single front camera.
The base model is said to have a 90Hz refresh rate, while the more powerful versions will get a 120Hz panel. It will be based on proprietary Kirin 9000 and 9000e processors.
The equipment of the new products will include a multi-module camera with Leica optics. At the same time, it is said that there is a 200-fold scaling system. Of course, we are talking about digital zoom, so you can hardly count on a high-quality picture at maximum zoom.
In this version, the camera block contains three modules of the same size, arranged vertically in a row.
Power will be provided by a rechargeable battery with support for fast 66W wired charging and 50W wireless charging. Moreover, Huawei is discussing the possibility of implementing 135-watt charging, but a final decision on this issue has not yet been made.
According to LetsGoDigital, unlike the base, Huawei P50 with an almost completely flat screen, the more expensive Huawei P50 Pro has a waterfall screen with heavily curved edges. The most expensive model in the lineup, the Huawei P50 Pro Plus, goes even further and has a curved edge on all four sides.
The screen size will not change compared to its predecessor – Huawei P50 Pro will receive a 6.6-inch OLED panel with QHD + resolution (2640 × 1200 pixels), the image refresh rate will remain at 120 Hz or even improve. The front-facing camera will most likely not stay in the upper left corner, but move to the center.
The Huawei P50 line may be the first smartphone with the HarmonyOS proprietary operating system installed. The official debut of the Huawei P50 is expected in the spring.
Earlier it was reported that smartphones of the Huawei P50 family will be offered with the Android operating system and the proprietary software platform Huawei Harmony OS. The official presentation is expected in the current quarter.
