Details on the development of the next flagship of the P-series were shared by Wang Yonggang, CEO of the P product family. He said that the time from the start of development to the release of devices on the market is at least 18 months.
This means that the P50 series was already in development before the launch of the P40 in March this year. Jungang said the R&D department is meeting a year before the device’s launch in order to discuss innovative technologies and solutions that will be used in the device.
As for the smartphones of the Huawei P50 series, Wang Yungang confirmed that, like all previous generations, the new line will be released in the spring. At the same time, he confirmed that work on the Huawei P50 began a few months before the presentation of the Huawei P40. More specifically, the full development cycle of new products of the Huawei P line takes at least 18 months.
He also assured fans that the Huawei P50 line of smartphones will be very innovative and competitive.
