Huawei has already announced its first folding smartphone Huawei Mate X, but the smartphone has not yet gone on sale. Richard Yu, the CEO of Huawei’s consumer business, was at the airport and using a folding phone.

It was reported that the Huawei Mate X smartphone received a network license earlier this month and supports traditional GSM, CDMA, CDMA2000, WCDMA, TD-LTE, LTE FDD and 5G networks with NSA and SA networking methods.

The device was recently listed on TENAA and reveals its full specifications. The list shows that the foldable smartphone will be equipped with an external 8-inch OLED display with a screen resolution of 2480 x 2200 pixels.

When folded, it turns into a two-screen phone – one side has a 6.6-inch display with a resolution of 2480 x 1148 pixels and a ratio of 19.5: 9, the other – 6.38-inch. The display with a resolution of 2480 x 892 pixels and an aspect ratio of 25: 9.

Inside the smartphone is installed flagship processor Kirin 980 Octa Core with a clock frequency of 2.6 GHz, which is available in three versions depending on the memory configuration: 6/8/12 GB of RAM and 128/256/512 GB of flash memory. It comes with a 7nm Balong 5000 modem that provides support for a 5G device.

The folding smartphone Huawei Mate X also comes with an NM card, which allows users to increase the phone’s memory capacity to 256 GB. As for connectivity options, the device supports NFC, dual-frequency GPS, Bluetooth 5.0, Wi-Fi 802.11b / g / n / ac, and a USB Type-C port.

It is equipped with a 40-megapixel main sensor with an aperture of 1: 1.8, an 8-megapixel telephoto lens with an aperture of 1: 2.4, an ultra-wide-angle lens of 16 megapixels with an aperture of 1: 2.2 and a 3D ToF camera. Mate X also comes with a side fingerprint reader.

The TENAA list also indicates that the device is running an Android 9 Pie operating system out of the box and that the EMUI 9.1 user interface is likely to be in the foreground. The phone uses a 4400 mAh battery and can support SupercCharge fast charging technology, which supports up to 55 watts.
