HTC is preparing a new blockchain smartphone – HTC Exodus 2
Last fall, HTC introduced a smartphone for miners Exodus 1. Technically, this is a complete copy of the flagship HTC U12 +, but the HTC Exodus 1 uses a dedicated ARM processor TrustZone to store the crypto keys. It was assumed that it would be safer to keep digital money on such a device than on any other smartphone with a regular wallet application.
HTC Exodus 1 was priced at 0.15 bitcoin ($ 950 at the time of the smartphone, $ 772 at the time of writing the news), although later HTC switched to selling at a fixed price. The device did not become a popular solution, but operating director Chen Xinsheng at the last forum of the International Distributed Application Forum said that Exodus 2 will debut in the second half of this year.
According to the top manager, the device will expand the possibilities of managing digital assets. The smartphone will use an operating system-independent security module to store the cryptocurrency and personal data of users. The exact date of the announcement and the price of the device has not been announced.
